4TEEN4 Pharmaceuticals is pleased to announce that the project, “CURE-SHOCK: PROCIZUMAB TO REDUCE MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY IN CIRCULATORY SHOCK,”* has been selected for funding under the Horizon Europe call “HORIZON-HLTH-2025-01-TOOL-05: Boosting the translation of biotech research into innovative health therapies.” The project has been awarded a total funding volume of €8 million through the Horizon Europe grant.
CURE-SHOCK will conduct a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2a clinical trial in 150 patients across septic, burn, and traumatic shock indications. The study is led by the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) in collaboration with UKSH Lübeck, Centrum Leczenia Oparzen in Poland, Bogomolets National Medical University in Ukraine, and 4TEEN4 Pharmaceuticals.

In addition to the Horizon Europe grant, CURE-SHOCK has been awarded the STEP Seal by the European Commission. The STEP Seal is granted to high-quality projects that contribute to the objectives of the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform and demonstrate particular relevance for Europe’s strategic technological priorities.
